Sterile Processing Technician

Contract | Evening Shift | 5x8 Hours | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (Monday–Friday) with holiday rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap of surgical instruments and equipment
• Support surgical services across multiple campus locations as needed, including potential float assignments
• Maintain compliance with sterile processing standards within a Level I Trauma Center environment
• Participate in holiday rotation schedule as required by department needs
• Contribute to emergency response team operations during hurricane season (June through November) as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of sterile processing technician experience
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Demonstrated experience in sterilization, decontamination, and instrument assembly/wrap
• Active CBSPD and/or HSPA national certification required
• No first-time travelers accepted for this role

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with specialty case types including Neuro, GU, Robotics, ENT, Orthopedics, Transplant, and GYN
• Familiarity with sterile processing operations within a teaching or Magnet-designated facility
