Job Title
• Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical/Telemetry

Location
• Wilmington, NC

Schedule / Job Type
• Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 4 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult medical and surgical patients in a busy ED holding unit.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias, managing arrhythmias as needed.
• Administer blood products, medications, and manage patient requirements such as colostomy and feeding tubes.
• Assist with patient assessment, care planning, and documentation using hospital systems.
• Float to ED and Med/Surg areas as needed, handling a variety of adult medical/surgical diagnoses.
• Participate in rapid response and emergency procedures as required.

Required Qualifications
• Valid RN license for North Carolina or Compact state.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including telemetry monitoring.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac monitoring systems.
• Experience with blood product administration, IV placement, and peripheral line management.
• Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• NIHSS certification.
• Experience with IV insulin protocols, hemodialysis access, and neuro or ortho trauma care.
• Experience with wound care and advanced airway management.
