Travel RN – PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care for patients recovering from cardiac, spine, orthopedic, and neurological procedures including cardiac cath, ablation, carotid endarterectomy, TAVR, laminectomies, and hip and knee replacements
- Manage and monitor advanced equipment including LVADs, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, and ventilators
- Maintain a 2:1 patient ratio within a 16-bed PACU unit, ensuring safe and effective patient recovery
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Float to Pre-op area as needed per unit guidelines
- Participate in weekend call rotation with a one-hour response requirement to the facility
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license with a minimum of 1 year of experience
- Critical Care ICU experience – required
- PACU experience – required
- Current ACLS certification – required
- Ability to comply with on-call requirements, including reporting to the facility within one hour
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Cardiac nursing experience
- Orthopedic and/or neurological nursing experience
- Strong teamwork orientation and ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment
