Registered Nurse – Operating Room / Surgery (Contract, 13 Weeks)

Contract | Travel | Day Shift | Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | On-call required (4–5 call shifts and 4–5 late shifts per 6-week period) | Weekend shifts available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care in a 22-OR suite environment supporting a wide range of surgical service lines including robotics, cardiac, vascular, neuro, spine, oncology, orthopedics, plastics, urology, and GYN
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio throughout the perioperative process, ensuring patient safety and quality care
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team to support procedures such as appendectomies, cholecystectomies, spinal fusions, total joints, craniotomies, mastectomies, and DIEP flaps
• Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities
• Participate in on-call rotation and late shift coverage as required per unit scheduling guidelines
• Operate and assist with advanced surgical equipment including robotic systems and specialty instrumentation across multiple service lines

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience
• Neuro and/or spine experience required
• Cardiac OR experience required for placement within the cardiac service line
• Ability to meet on-call and late shift obligations per the 6-week scheduling cycle
• Closed-toe, closed-heel, non-slip footwear required; scrubs are provided by the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience across multiple surgical service lines (orthopedics, neuro, general surgery, robotics)
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
• Self-directed, flexible, and team-oriented work style with a positive attitude
