Contract | Travel | Day Shift | Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | On-call required (4–5 call shifts and 4–5 late shifts per 6-week period) | Weekend shifts available
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care in a 22-OR suite environment supporting a wide range of surgical service lines including robotics, cardiac, vascular, neuro, spine, oncology, orthopedics, plastics, urology, and GYN
- Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio throughout the perioperative process, ensuring patient safety and quality care
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team to support procedures such as appendectomies, cholecystectomies, spinal fusions, total joints, craniotomies, mastectomies, and DIEP flaps
- Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities
- Participate in on-call rotation and late shift coverage as required per unit scheduling guidelines
- Operate and assist with advanced surgical equipment including robotic systems and specialty instrumentation across multiple service lines
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience
- Neuro and/or spine experience required
- Cardiac OR experience required for placement within the cardiac service line
- Ability to meet on-call and late shift obligations per the 6-week scheduling cycle
- Closed-toe, closed-heel, non-slip footwear required; scrubs are provided by the facility
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience across multiple surgical service lines (orthopedics, neuro, general surgery, robotics)
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR
- Self-directed, flexible, and team-oriented work style with a positive attitude
