Travel NICU Respiratory Therapist

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Rotating Weekends | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide critical care respiratory therapy management for NICU and multi-service patient populations, including ventilator management, vent weaning, and trach care
- Perform emergency and routine airway management, EKG procedures, blood gas analysis, and ABG sample collection across all patient populations
- Administer respiratory medications and develop, assess, and evaluate individualized respiratory plans of care
- Respond to Code Blue, Trauma, and STEMI events and assist with bedside bronchoscopy procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation and charges for all therapy provided, adhering to safety standards, checklists, and infection prevention protocols
- Communicate effectively with physicians and clinical staff regarding patient status and care progression
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience, including critical care and adult ventilator management
- Active Texas state Respiratory Therapist license
- NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- Proficiency with ventilators (Servo U, PB 980, MR1 transport vent, Hamilton Medical C1), BiPAP (V60, C1), F&P Bubble CPAP, and F&P HFNC
- Experience with EMR documentation (Meditech)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior NICU respiratory therapy experience strongly preferred; candidates with NICU background will be considered first
- Familiarity with bedside bronchoscopy assist procedures
