Contract | Days (5x8 Hours, 6:45 AM – 3:00 PM) | Onsite | On-call required (nights, weekends, and holidays)

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures within a fast-paced acute care surgical services department
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field, instruments, and equipment specific to CVOR cases
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency throughout all phases of surgery
• Respond to on-call needs during nights, weekends, and designated holidays as required
• Adhere to department dress code, facility protocols, and compliance requirements throughout the assignment

Required Qualifications

• NBSTSA certification (CST) required
• Minimum of 2 years of consecutive experience in cardiovascular surgery, including cardiothoracic and vascular procedures
• Valid state surgical technologist license or compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Travel experience in a surgical technologist role required
• Must be willing to commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel contract experience in a CVOR or cardiovascular surgical setting
• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center or short-term acute care facility
• Familiarity with completing facility compliance modules independently and on time
