Contract | Days (5x8 Hours, 6:45 AM – 3:00 PM) | Onsite | On-call required (nights, weekends, and holidays)
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist in cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures within a fast-paced acute care surgical services department
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field, instruments, and equipment specific to CVOR cases
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency throughout all phases of surgery
- Respond to on-call needs during nights, weekends, and designated holidays as required
- Adhere to department dress code, facility protocols, and compliance requirements throughout the assignment
Required Qualifications
- NBSTSA certification (CST) required
- Minimum of 2 years of consecutive experience in cardiovascular surgery, including cardiothoracic and vascular procedures
- Valid state surgical technologist license or compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Travel experience in a surgical technologist role required
- Must be willing to commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel contract experience in a CVOR or cardiovascular surgical setting
- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center or short-term acute care facility
- Familiarity with completing facility compliance modules independently and on time
