Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to oncology patients in a progressive care unit, including those with solid tumors, orthopedic, and thoracic malignancies
• Monitor patient status using telemetry systems and manage dysrhythmias and vital signs
• Administer medications, including chemotherapy, blood products, and IV therapies following protocols
• Manage invasive devices such as Central Lines, PICCs, and port accesses, including care and maintenance
• Respond to patient emergencies using rapid response teams and emergency protocols
• Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in compliance with hospital policies

Required Qualifications

• Valid nursing license in Ohio or a compact state
• 2+ years of nursing experience, preferably in an ICU, PCU, or step-down setting
• BCLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and invasive device management
• Ability to effectively float within units of comparable or lower acuity

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience administering chemotherapy and managing oncology patients
• Proficiency with IV insulin protocols and titration of cardiac drips
• Knowledge of wound care and management of surgical drains and external devices
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

• Orientation includes a Monday to Friday dayshift orientation for the first week, followed by 36 hours of on-unit training with a preceptor
• Shift starts at 7:00 PM and ends at 7:30 AM
• Strict compliance with Ohio fingerprinting process required prior to start date
• Candidates must submit two professional references, including one from a managerial or leadership role
• Travel candidates outside Ohio must complete fingerprinting in Ohio or via mailed packets promptly upon booking
