- Full-time, Days shifts, 12-hour shifts, 1 shift per week
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced respiratory procedures including ventilator care, suctioning, artificial airway management, resuscitation, bedside spirometry, ABG specimen collection and interpretation, and chest X-ray interpretation.
- Administer basic bronchial hygiene and therapeutic procedures such as IPPB, Incentive Spirometry, EZ-PAP, HHN, CPT, aerosol therapy, humidification, oxygen therapy, CPR, airway maintenance, and provide asthma and smoking cessation education.
- Perform diagnostic testing including EKGs, EEGs, PFTs, Mobile Cardiac Telemetry, Holter, and Event Monitors.
- Maintain organized medical records utilizing clinical forms and EMR documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to deliver quality patient care in a rural healthcare setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program.
- Credentialed with the NBRC as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
- Active Colorado license in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required within 6 months of hire.
- Ability to perform all basic and selected advanced respiratory care procedures.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in a rural or community hospital setting is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to perform diagnostic tests like EKGs, PFTs, and Telemetry monitoring.
