Schedule / Job Type
• Travel, Days shift, 12.5 hours per shift, 24-week duration
Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients in a busy hospital unit.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer chemotherapy and other treatments as prescribed, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Monitor patient responses and manage side effects or complications.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records using the Cerner EMR system.
• Support patients and their families through education and emotional care during treatment.
Required Qualifications
• Valid RN license in North Carolina.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in an oncology or med-surg setting.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Chemo certification or oncology-specific training.
• Experience with pelvic exams, echocardiograms, or thoracentesis procedures.
• Strong team player willing to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
