Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM | On-Call Required | Overtime Available

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine physical, mental, and spiritual needs; develop and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Perform and assist with endoscopic procedures including colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, PEG tube placement, bronchoscopy, esophageal stenting, and pain procedures.
• Administer and monitor moderate sedation; admit and discharge patients within the perioperative area.
• Utilize clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition; maintain complete and accurate medical records using EPIC.
• Provide patient and family education including explanations and procedural instructions.
• Float to other facilities within the organization as needed and participate in on-call rotation, including up to 2 weeknights and 2 weekend days with a 45-minute callback requirement.

Required Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Proficiency in endoscopy procedures: colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, PEG tube, bronchoscopy, esophageal stenting, and pain procedures.
• Ability to perform and monitor moderate sedation.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records.
• Ability to admit and discharge patients in a perioperative setting.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a high-volume endoscopy or GI lab environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage conflict and communicate professionally within a multidisciplinary team.
