Echo/Ultrasound Sonographer – Cardiology

Greensboro, NC

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 5x8 Hours (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, with occasional 8:30 AM rotation starts) | Onsite | Rotating weekends, 1 in every 4

Key Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiography studies including standard, 3D, and strain imaging
• Conduct Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) and Stress Echo procedures
• Operate GE and/or Philips ultrasound equipment to acquire diagnostic cardiac images
• Utilize image enhancing techniques including 3D strain imaging
• Float to other health system campuses as needed
• Document and manage patient data within the EPIC EMR system

Required Qualifications

• Active ARDMS RDCS (AE) registration — must be in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS certification
• Experience with GE and/or Philips echocardiography equipment
• Proficiency in TEE, Stress Echo, and Endo TE procedures
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must be available for a 5x8 schedule; 4x10 schedules cannot be accommodated

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with 3D strain image enhancing techniques
• Familiarity with multi-campus health system environments and floating requirements
