Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized perioperative nursing care in a surgical setting for orthopedic procedures including spine fusions, ALIFs, and total joint replacements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes during surgical procedures.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of surgical equipment and sterile environments.
• Respond effectively to on-call demands, maintaining flexibility with response times.
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Support unit policies and guidelines, contributing to a positive team environment.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year current acute care hospital OR experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with spine and joint procedures.
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR system is preferred.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced surgical environments and communicate effectively with staff and providers.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior joint scrub experience.
• Prior Meditech system experience.
