Registered Nurse Orthopedic

Job Title
• Travel Registered Nurse - Trauma Tele (4 West) – Orthopedic Specialty

Location
• Asheville, NC

Schedule / Job Type
• Travel, 13-week assignment, Days shift, 12.5-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities
• Provide advanced nursing care to adult trauma and medical-surgical patients in a busy hospital unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, ensuring patient safety and timely escalation of acuity changes
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and perform procedures such as IV fluids, tube feeds, and antibiotic administration
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including Charge Nurses, providers, and CNA staff
• Ensure compliance with unit policies, safety standards, and documentation protocols in Cerner EMR
• Support team members and demonstrate effective communication and teamwork

Required Qualifications
• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification
• Telemetry rhythm interpretation skills
• Critical thinking and time management abilities
• Ability to assess patient conditions and communicate effectively with team members

Preferred Experience / Skills
• ACLS certification
• Prior experience in orthopedic or med-surg units
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR system
