Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Palliative Care)

Contract | Days / Nights Rotating | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide symptom management and supportive care for patients experiencing serious illness, including uncontrolled pain, severe nausea/vomiting, failure to thrive, and fatigue
• Deliver palliative care-focused nursing on an 11th floor inpatient unit aimed at improving patient quality of life
• Float to other med/surg units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed based on staffing priorities
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patients still actively undergoing treatment
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using the EPIC electronic health records system

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license – valid compact or state license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system required
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
• Willingness and ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Background in med/surg nursing with interest in expanding palliative care skills
• Experience working in high-acuity inpatient environments
