Contract | Nights (4x12-Hour Shifts, 19:00–07:30) | Onsite | Weekends Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide postpartum nursing care for patients following vaginal or cesarean delivery, including couplet care and low-risk antepartum monitoring
- Assist with or circulate for cesarean sections, scrub procedures, and attend all deliveries as required
- Administer and manage medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate; operate epidural pumps, PCA pumps, and syringe pumps
- Perform or support GYN surgeries, post-operative care, tubal ligation, circumcision, and transition nursery care
- Manage wound vacs, drains, cooling/warming blankets, and obtain 12-lead EKGs as needed
- Float to NICU or Labor and Delivery as required to meet unit staffing needs
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Mother Baby / Postpartum nursing experience
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- Proficiency with CPAP/BiPAP and blood/blood products administration
- Experience with LDRP, low-risk labor and delivery, and scrub/circulate roles for cesarean sections
- Must not be a first-time travel nurse; prior travel experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience floating to NICU or Labor and Delivery units
- Familiarity with transition nursery and low-risk antepartum care settings
