Social Worker / Therapist – Psychiatric Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required (Saturday & Sunday)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct crisis risk assessments for both adult and pediatric patients in an emergency department setting
• Provide clinical social work and therapeutic services across adult and pediatric emergency units
• Float between units within the facility as staffing needs require
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Document clinical assessments and interventions accurately using electronic health record systems

Required Qualifications

• Full, unrestricted Washington State licensure required — associate-level licensure will not be accepted
• Must hold one of the following licenses: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Experience conducting crisis risk assessments with adult and pediatric populations
• Valid Washington State or Compact license in hand at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior hospital or acute care setting experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system
• Experience working in a trauma center or high-acuity emergency department environment
