Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays as Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry overflow unit (CPPU)
- Monitor and assess telemetry patients, responding to changes in condition appropriatelyFloat to other units or facilities within the health system as required
- Deliver care in compliance with facility protocols, dress code, and documentation standards using Meditech EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
- Adhere to all scheduling requirements including weekend and holiday rotations
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- Active Registered Nurse license in Alabama or valid Compact license (temporary licenses not accepted)
- NURSYS verification required
- Current AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification
- Minimum of 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license; 2 years preferred
- At least 1 year of recent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry specialty
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech EMR
- Prior travel nursing experience with demonstrated ability to float across units or facilities
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and interpretation in an acute care setting
