Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours per Week | Onsite | Projected Start: 08/03/2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient-centered care on a multi-specialty Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit accommodating up to 36 patients
- Monitor and manage medical patients including those requiring dialysis and telemetry monitoring
- Care for surgical patient populations including orthopedic procedures and general surgery cases
- Maintain a strong focus on pain management, patient mobility, and prevention of complications
- Work within a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6, supported by an out-of-staffing Team Leader
- Float to other units and facilities as required, including every other weekend and holidays as required
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or valid Compact license (temporary licenses not accepted)
- Active NURSYS verification
- Current AHA BLS certification or American Red Cross equivalent
- Minimum of 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license, with at least 1 year of recent experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry specialty
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 or more years of Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR system
- Prior travel nursing experience with demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new environments
