Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient-centered care on a multi-specialty Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit accommodating up to 36 patients
• Monitor and manage medical patients including those requiring dialysis and telemetry monitoring
• Care for surgical patient populations including orthopedic procedures and general surgery cases
• Maintain a strong focus on pain management, patient mobility, and prevention of complications
• Work within a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6, supported by an out-of-staffing Team Leader
• Float to other units and facilities as required, including every other weekend and holidays as required

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or valid Compact license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Active NURSYS verification
• Current AHA BLS certification or American Red Cross equivalent
• Minimum of 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license, with at least 1 year of recent experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry specialty

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR system
• Prior travel nursing experience with demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new environments
