Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, 13-week assignment, Day shifts (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), 4 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct bedside swallow examinations and assessments for patients with swallowing or diet concerns
- Perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) and other dysphagia evaluations
- Implement and treatment of cognitive assessments and therapies for neurological rehabilitation
- Utilize specialized equipment such as VitalStim, Bioness, and Pneuvest during therapy sessions
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust individualized treatment plans
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in EMR systems
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Certification in MBSS
- Experience with dysphagia management and stroke rehabilitation
- Ability to perform bedside swallow exams and cognitive assessments
- CCC-SLP preferred
Preferred Experience / Skills
- VitalStim certification or experience in neuromuscular electrical stimulation
- Experience with TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) rehabilitation
- Knowledge of advanced swallow and cognitive treatment techniques
