- Night shifts, 4 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in high risk, high acuity labor and delivery environments following AWHONN guidelines.
- Function as a Baby Nurse during delivery, supporting immediate postpartum newborn care until transfer to postpartum unit.
- Circulate during procedures, including eye care, thigh assessments, and administration of medications such as Heparin, Insulin, Magnesium Sulfate.
- Monitor patient diagnoses and support midwifery clients, OBs, and community care clinics.
- Document and adhere to electronic fetal monitoring protocols and EPIC system requirements.
- Support unit operations in a fast-paced, high-volume delivery setting averaging 15 patients daily and 500-600 deliveries monthly.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of Washington.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in high acuity, high risk labor and delivery settings.
- Current certifications: BLS, NRP, proof of these certifications required at submission.
- Existing supervisory references covering the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass clinical review and compliance with all travel regulations.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS and AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate certifications preferred.
- Experience with electronic fetal monitoring and EMR systems, specifically Epic.
- Experience with postpartum and antepartum patient care.
