Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with acute leukemia and hematologic conditions
• Administer blood products, IV antibiotics, electrolytes, and chemotherapy in accordance with unit protocols
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac dysrhythmias; utilize Rapid Response Teams as appropriate
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, peripheral IVs, and perform phlebotomy and central line blood draws
• Implement and maintain strict infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures
• Provide feeding tube care and management; document all care accurately using EPIC electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of overall nursing experience required
• Medical-surgical oncology experience required; at least one inpatient hematology oncology experience required
• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license) required at time of submission
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ONS Chemotherapy Certification required
• Proficiency with telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, blood product administration, and EPIC charting required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers are not accepted for this assignment
