Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend (Friday & Saturday nights) | 13-week assignment | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care / Progressive Care / Stepdown unit setting
- Monitor patients via telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias
- Administer and manage IV insulin protocols and insulin drips
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Current, valid RN license (compact or state license required at time of submission)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – required
- Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Ability to complete state-required fingerprinting/credentialing process promptly upon contract signing
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous telemetry experience in a stepdown or progressive care environment
- Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drip management
- Strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
