Occupational Therapist – Pediatric Outpatient

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (Tuesday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM) | 20-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and treat pediatric patients presenting with varied developmental conditions including Autism, sensory processing challenges, fine motor delays, and self-regulation difficulties
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in a pediatric outpatient setting
- Document patient progress and clinical notes using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- May be required to float within the hospital as needed based on patient volume
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of occupational therapy experience with a pediatric outpatient population
- Active California OT License, or active licensure in another state with willingness to obtain CA licensure (60-day practice rule may apply during the licensure process)
- Current NBCOT certification
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Non-local candidates only; candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with pediatric feeding and eating disorders or challenges
- Previous experience in a children's hospital setting
- Familiarity with Epic EMR charting system
