Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Contract | 36 Hours per Week | Rotating Days/Nights | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays as Needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit setting with a primary focus on neurological and stroke patients
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:2, with occasional 1:3 assignments as unit needs require
• Accurately document all patient care activities and assessments using EPIC electronic health records
• Float to other units and potentially other facility locations within the health system as needed
• Participate in orientation on scheduled Mondays and ensure all credentialing requirements are submitted prior to start

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license (verification required at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience with a strong background in Neuro and Stroke care
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Passed EKG test with a score of 80% or higher (must be submitted at time of application)
• Proficiency with EPIC charting
• Flexibility to float to other units and nearby facility locations

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-acuity neuro or stroke ICU environment
• Familiarity with multi-site health system workflows and cross-facility floating protocols
