Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Friday, Saturday, plus one weekday night | No call required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular, thoracic, vascular, and transplant surgical procedures
• Assist surgical teams in the operating room during complex cardiac and vascular cases
• Accurately document patient care activities and clinical findings using EPIC electronic health record system
• Monitor and assess patient status throughout the intraoperative phase, responding appropriately to changes in condition
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Maintain flexibility in scheduling to meet unit and patient care needs

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license (compact or state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac, vascular, and transplant settings
• Minimum 1 year of CVOR-specific experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Level I Trauma facility
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system required
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Broad surgical experience spanning general OR, cardiovascular, thoracic, vascular, and transplant specialties
• Experience working in high-acuity, fast-paced surgical environments
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to varied scheduling needs and shift flexibility
