Registered Nurse – Critical Care (ICU)

Schedule / Job Type
Full-time, nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 13-week travel assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain and document initial patient assessments, establishing priorities based on age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs.
• Re-assess patients systematically to monitor progress and identify trends requiring intervention.
• Develop and implement individualized, measurable care plans within established standards of care.
• Make comprehensive nursing decisions by interpreting clinical data and evaluating patient outcomes, adjusting care as needed.
• Participate in patient and family education, discharge planning, and timely documentation of interventions.
• Perform Point of Care testing procedures and coordinate care with the healthcare team.

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in New Mexico or in a Compact state.
• Certification in TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course).
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications via AHA.
• Demonstrated knowledge of adult and pediatric patient care, with effective communication skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 1+ year of ICU or critical care nursing experience.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations in fast-paced environments.
• Strong decision-making, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills.
