Key Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory as requested by physicians.
• Prepares and orients patients to procedures, ensuring patient care and safety throughout.
• Operates imaging equipment, monitors equipment functionality, and maintains equipment in accordance with manufacturer and departmental standards.
• Provides radiation protection for patients, staff, and self while performing procedures.
• Documents procedures accurately in written or electronic formats, maintaining proper records.
• Maintains supplies and a clean, organized work area to support efficient department operations.
• Participates in professional development activities, including continuing education and workshops related to cardiovascular and interventional technology.
• Supports patient relations by demonstrating professionalism, effective communication, and respect for patient rights and confidentiality.
• Adheres to safety policies, environmental protocols, and department procedures consistently.
• Provides coverage on an on-call basis as required, including weekends.

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Current ARRT certification or eligibility, with New Mexico state licensure required.
• BLS certification from AHA.
• ACLS certification from AHA.
• 1+ years of radiologic technology experience preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Knowledge of interventional procedures in cardiology and radiology.
• Strong understanding of cardiovascular and neurologic anatomy and physiology.
• Basic computer skills and medical terminology proficiency.
