Contract | Full-Time | Day Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required | Rotating Holidays | No On-Call Requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a cardiac medical/surgical telemetry unit with a capacity of 24 beds
• Care for a diverse patient population including heart failure, post-procedure, pulmonary, GI, and acute behavioral health patients
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and EKG readings to identify and respond to cardiac changes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams under established staffing ratios
• Float as needed to additional regional facilities when required

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (Illinois)
• Demonstrated cardiac nursing experience
• Must pass an EKG competency test with a score of 80% or higher prior to starting orientation
• Minimum of one completed travel nursing contract

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a medical/surgical telemetry or cardiac step-down unit setting
• Flexibility and comfort with floating to multiple care settings or locations
