Sterile Processing Technician – Operating Room
Location
Naperville, IL
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Evening Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment in accordance with established protocols
- Support operating room teams by ensuring timely availability of sterile instruments and trays
- Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization processes and equipment tracking
- Adhere to infection control standards and regulatory compliance requirements
- Inspect and test equipment to verify proper function prior to sterilization and distribution
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of sterile processing experience
- At least 1 prior travel contract in sterile processing
- Active CRCST or CBSPDT certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience supporting surgical or operating room environments
- Familiarity with instrument tracking systems and sterile processing software
