Travel Registered Nurse – Adult Psychiatric / Behavioral Health

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care on an adult psychiatric unit spanning 48 beds across three floors
• Perform admissions, discharges, and ongoing assessments for suicidality and patient safety
• Conduct regular nurse rounding to ensure all patients are safe and their needs are met
• Utilize de-escalation techniques with patients experiencing mental illness
• Document accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Float to a senior care unit as needed per unit guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Demonstrated experience with de-escalation of patients with mental illness
• Ability to adapt to and learn Meditech for documentation needs
• CPI certification required (training can be provided if needed)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience
• Experience working in an inpatient psychiatric setting with higher patient ratios (1:10)
