Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Saturday, Sunday, plus one rotating weekday | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Call and holiday coverage required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care in a transplant-dedicated operating room setting
- Support abdominal transplant procedures including kidney, pancreas, liver, and intestinal/multi-visceral transplants
- Perform scrub and/or circulating roles as required within the OR
- Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation and patient charting
- Float within the hospital or to affiliate facilities as required
- Fulfill call and holiday shift obligations per unit requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand prior to start date
- Minimum 2 years of transplant OR experience (hard requirement — no exceptions)
- Experience with recipient procedures involved in liver transplant
- Graduation from a nursing program accredited by ACEN or CCNE
- Must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Indiana residents are not eligible for this position
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with multi-visceral or intestinal transplant procedures
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records
- First-time travelers with strong, verifiable transplant experience will be considered
