Registered Nurse – Transplant Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Saturday, Sunday, plus one rotating weekday | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Call and holiday coverage required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a transplant-dedicated operating room setting
• Support abdominal transplant procedures including kidney, pancreas, liver, and intestinal/multi-visceral transplants
• Perform scrub and/or circulating roles as required within the OR
• Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation and patient charting
• Float within the hospital or to affiliate facilities as required
• Fulfill call and holiday shift obligations per unit requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand prior to start date
• Minimum 2 years of transplant OR experience (hard requirement — no exceptions)
• Experience with recipient procedures involved in liver transplant
• Graduation from a nursing program accredited by ACEN or CCNE
• Must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Indiana residents are not eligible for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with multi-visceral or intestinal transplant procedures
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records
• First-time travelers with strong, verifiable transplant experience will be considered
