Registered Nurse – Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments in accordance with RN scope of practice, considering patient culture, age, and developmental level
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care in coordination with patients, families, and the inter-professional care team<
• Provide direct patient care including nursing rounds, treatments, and ongoing assessment of patient response to therapies and procedures
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including timely execution of discharge orders and coordination with Case Management
• Deliver patient and family-centered education addressing prioritized needs based on level of comprehension
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and documentation auditing

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the care team
• Proficiency with or ability to be trained on computer systems and clinical applications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous clinical nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
