Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Tuesday Start | 4 Weekend Shifts per Month Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients in a unit with 10 LDR rooms and 2 OB Emergency Department beds
- Maintain patient ratios of 2:1, with 1:1 or 2:1 for high-risk patients when stable
- Assist with and circulate for cesarean sections, BTLs, and salpingectomies in the OR
- Monitor fetal status using intermediate fetal monitoring techniques and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or fetal condition
- Document patient care accurately using CPN (Centricity) and Meditech EMR systems
- Float to postpartum or medical floor as needed (medical floor float in a tech capacity only)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Current Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
- ACLS certification (current)
- NRP certification (current)
- BLS certification (current)
- OR Circulator experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bilingual language skills
- Scrub tech skills
- C-EFM (Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification
