Registered Nurse ICU

Job Title

• Travel Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical ICU (MSICU) / Night Shift

• Plano, TX

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, 13-week assignment, nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 36 guaranteed hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to ICU patients in a Medical-Surgical ICU setting
• Monitor and document patient status using Meditech system
• Perform procedures such as central line and arterial line insertions, chest tube placements, bedside trachs, and thoracotomies
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, including supervisors and PCTs, to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with hospital standards for dress code, hygiene, and safety protocols
• Adhere to unit policies, including float and weekend requirements

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license (active, temporary licenses not accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years hospital experience
• Minimum of 2 years specialty ICU experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience with Meditech documentation system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• TNCC, CCRN, TCRN certifications
• Prior experience with MEDITECH preferred
• Previous work in trauma, burn, or critical care units
