Contract | Full-Time, 36 hours per week | Onsite | Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday, 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | Variable shifts may be required based on census | Holiday coverage via call rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures including using and building imaging protocols for patients across all age groups, including pediatric, geriatric, and general populations
- Screen patients for contraindications and enforce MRI safety requirements in accordance with ACR and facility protocols
- Interview and educate patients on MRI procedures, addressing concerns with professionalism, tact, and courtesy
- Monitor patients continuously, both visually and verbally, throughout imaging procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment; report equipment status and assist with inventory monitoring
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times and support effective communication and collaboration with patients, physicians, and team members
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or Certificate from an accredited two-year college, university, or certificate-based program in a related field
- ARRT registration required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 4 months of hire and must be maintained thereafter
- Influenza vaccination required per State of Maine mandate (medical exemptions subject to approval by Employee Health)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatric and geriatric patients
- Familiarity with building and modifying MRI protocols in a clinical setting
