Radiologic Technologist – X-Ray / CT Tech

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days with On-Call Shifts | Four 10-Hour Shifts per Week (7:30 AM – 6:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Operate radiographic equipment to obtain ordered radiographs consistent with department routines and procedures
- Position patients and adjust equipment for proper exposure settings to ensure quality imaging
- Complete exams in the electronic medical record (EMR) and verify images in the PACS system
- Perform diagnostic imaging services in the specialty of Computed Tomography (CT), safely operating a variety of imaging equipment
- Interview patients, explain procedures, and assist in positioning patients for both X-ray and CT exams
- Review test results in collaboration with radiologists and referring physicians
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in both Radiography (X-Ray) and Computed Tomography (CT) — must be able to perform both modalities
- ARRT certification in Radiography (R) required; CT certification strongly required
- Experience operating radiographic and CT imaging equipment in a clinical setting
- Familiarity with PACS systems and electronic medical records (EMR)
- Ability to work day shifts including on-call responsibilities
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a hospital or acute care imaging environment
- Strong patient communication skills with the ability to explain imaging procedures clearly
- Experience collaborating directly with radiologists and referring physicians on diagnostic results
