Contract – Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Projected Start: June 30, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver primary nursing care to a caseload of up to 5 patients on a 24-bed Med/Surg unit with an oncology and general surgery focus
- Administer chemotherapy treatments in accordance with unit policy (chemo-certified nurses only)
- Monitor and document vital signs per unit protocol (every 8 hours standard; every 4 hours for remote telemetry patients)
- Collaborate with charge nurses, care team members, and administrative care technicians within a primary nursing care model
- Utilize the facility EMR system (Meditech/CPN) and iPhone-based nursing communication system to coordinate patient care
- Support remote telemetry patients alongside standard oncology and general surgery patient populations
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of current hospital acute care Oncology RN experience
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Chemotherapy certification (required to hang and handle chemotherapy agents per unit policy)
- Current ACLS certification
- Experience working on a remote telemetry unit
