Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Full-Time | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM with 30-minute unpaid break

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Medical Surgical unit, managing a caseload of 4–7 patients depending on shift and census
• Care for a diverse patient population including post-operative patients (knee, hip, shoulder, thyroidectomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy) and medical patients with diagnoses such as HTN, heart failure, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, TIA, DM, AKI, and UTI
• Administer and monitor set-rate and titratable drips including Heparin and PCAs as needed (titration is rare)
• Manage respiratory equipment including CPAP at home settings and BiPAP on rare occasions
• Collaborate with telemetry technicians for rhythm interpretation; RNs are not required to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
• Float to like units as needed; may float in a CNA capacity to IMC, ICU, or ED

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Ability to work night shifts, including rotating weekend and holiday coverage
• Must clock in and out on-site at the facility for all shifts

Preferred Experience / Skills

• More than 1 year of Medical Surgical experience, particularly for first-time travel nurses
• Experience with post-operative patient care across a variety of surgical specialties
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring processes and drip management protocols
