Contract | Nights | 12-hour shifts | 3 out of 4 weekends required | No call requirement
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients throughout the labor and delivery process
- Perform nursing duties during vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including circulating C-sections
- Deliver couplet care following delivery
- Utilize EPIC Stork for clinical documentation, Centricity fetal monitoring system, and Pyxis medication system
- Float between two facility locations based on unit need
- Work collaboratively within a team that includes a shift nurse lead and at least six L&D RNs per shift
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Minimum 2 years of circulating C-sections required
- Active Indiana RN license or compact RN license required
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association required
- NRP certification required
- STABLE certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with EPIC Stork documentation system
- Experience with Centricity fetal monitoring and Pyxis medication systems
