Registered Nurse – Pediatric Float Pool (PICU/NICU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36–48 hours per week | 13-Week Assignment | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Float across multiple pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Deliver high-acuity nursing care to pediatric and neonatal patient populations within scope of practice
• Adapt clinical practice to meet the needs of varied pediatric units as assigned per float pool scheduling
• Accurately document patient care activities and assessments using Epic electronic health record system
• Adhere to all facility float pool policies and unit-specific protocols

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• NICU experience required; must be comfortable across pediatric care settings
• Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand prior to start date)
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending)
• Epic electronic health record experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience strongly preferred
• Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
• BSN preferred
