Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM) | 36 Hours per Week | Every 3rd Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care and skilled nursing facility setting during overnight shifts
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for residents
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
- Monitor and document resident health status, reporting changes to appropriate clinical staff
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure quality resident outcomes
- Adhere to all facility policies, regulatory standards, and infection control procedures
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or a compact state license
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility environment
- Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts in a fast-paced care setting
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel or contract nursing experience in LTC/SNF settings
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems used in skilled nursing environments
