Registered Nurse – Neuro/PCU (Stepdown)

Contract | Nights | 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Neuro/PCU stepdown unit with a 1:4–5 patient ratio
• Monitor and assess neurological and progressive care patients throughout assigned shifts
• Perform telemetry monitoring and respond to changes in patient condition
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Float within scope to meet unit needs as required by the facility
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November)

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a Neuro/PCU or similar stepdown setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Telemetry competency required
• No first-time travelers; prior travel nursing experience preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience charting in Epic
• Familiarity with neurological patient populations and progressive care protocols
• Flexibility to accommodate unit scheduling needs including block schedule requests
