Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | On-Site | Includes holiday rotation, one weekend shift per four-week schedule period, and up to four on-call shifts per four-week schedule period
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist across a broad range of surgical specialties including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, ENT, Robotics, Transplant/Procurement, Trauma/Burns, and GU/GYN
- Operate within a Level I Trauma Center environment supporting 21 OR suites covering all surgical specialties
- Utilize and document within the EPIC electronic health records system
- Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs across like units as required
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency surgical cases as needed
- Be prepared for potential assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
- Active NBSTSA certification (NCCT not accepted)
- Current BLS certification
- Level I Trauma experience
- Radiation badge required (must be provided by placing agency)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Neuro cases including spines and craniotomies
- Experience with ENT flap procedures
- Proficiency with Robotic-assisted surgery, specifically the DaVinci Xi platform
