Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and manage the annual nursing budget; recruit, hire, and maintain appropriate staffing levels using scheduling systems.
• Participate in state and/or federal nursing home survey processes; develop and implement plans of correction as needed.
• Lead management, monitoring, and auditing of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, including staff training, documentation, and reporting.
• Oversee comprehensive nursing assessments for all residents upon admission and on an ongoing basis; ensure individualized care plans are developed, evaluated, and updated in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Ensure residents are free from neglect or abuse; report any concerns related to resident rights in accordance with facility policy and procedure.
• Participate in the QA/CQI process and ensure adherence to the antibiotic stewardship plan.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of North Dakota.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of basic nursing skills, including therapeutic effects and side effects of administered medications.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility (LTC/SNF) setting.
• Experience with EMR systems, including staff training and compliance monitoring.
• Familiarity with state and federal nursing home regulatory requirements and survey processes.
