Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Float Pool)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care/Step-Down unit as part of a float pool, with potential to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Monitor and manage patients with telemetry needs, maintaining estimated patient ratios of 1:3–4
• Perform IV insertions and other clinical skills required for intermediate-level care patients
• Accurately document all patient care activities and assessments using the Epic electronic health record system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes across assigned units

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license – compact or state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Demonstrated IV start proficiency required
• Telemetry (TELE) experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a float pool or multi-unit environment
• Experience in a PCU, IMC, or Step-Down setting at a large academic medical center
