Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Rotating Day/Night Shifts (3x12-Hour Shifts) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and respond appropriately to cardiac changes
• Care for patients requiring telemetry monitoring, with potential responsibility for ventilator-dependent patients
• Float to additional units as operationally needed to care for the same patient population
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Participate in holiday coverage rotation, working at minimum every other holiday

Required Qualifications

• Active permanent Ohio RN license or valid Compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry specialty
• Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience (travel experience accepted)
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Active NIHSS certification required
• Must achieve acceptable scores on ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation (maximum 2 attempts)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 18 months of Med/Surg Telemetry experience obtained within a single facility
• Experience caring for ventilator-dependent patients
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Med/Surg or Telemetry setting
