Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days or Nights (3x12-Hour Shifts) | Day: 7:00–19:30 / Night: 19:00–7:30

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an acute care ortho trauma unit managing PCU-level patients
• Monitor and assess patients with diagnoses including SBO, fall, laceration, pneumonia, head injury, TBI, trauma, ileus, fistula, and fractures
• Perform IV starts, medication administration, and lab interpretation
• Conduct ongoing patient monitoring and telemetry oversight
• Deliver patient and family education throughout the care continuum
• Document accurately and efficiently using the EPIC electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
• Active, valid RN license (compact or state license must be in hand at time of submission)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Telemetry (Tele) competency required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system required
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in ortho trauma or stepdown unit settings
• Strong general nursing skills including patient monitoring and patient education
