Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting within a large regional referral hospital
- Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate-level care, including continuous cardiac monitoring and telemetry
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and established clinical protocols
- Document patient assessments, care provided, and clinical outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
- Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate care appropriately as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or a compact state
- Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience in a Stepdown, PCU, or IMC setting
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage intermediate-acuity patients in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Stepdown or PCU environment
- Experience working within a large, high-volume regional referral or trauma center
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac care protocols
