Key Responsibilities
- Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients in accordance with prescribed treatment plans
- Maintain a patient load consistent with departmental standards (approximately 20 patients per Radiation Therapist)
- Operate and monitor radiation therapy equipment to ensure accurate and safe delivery of treatments
- Document patient treatment records and report any changes in patient condition to the appropriate clinical staff
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to support patient care within a pediatric hospital environment
Required Qualifications
- Valid Texas Radiation Therapist license (compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum of 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience
- Ability to commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify under travel compliance guidelines
- All requested time off must be disclosed upfront at time of submission
- Two professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a pediatric or children's hospital setting
- Familiarity with travel contract compliance requirements and onboarding processes
