Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 12-Hour Shifts | 4 Weekend Shifts Per Scheduling Period Required | No Call Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients including high-risk OB cases, maintaining patient ratios of 1:2 and 1:1 based on acuity and transition needs
- Assist with and support procedures including spontaneous vaginal deliveries, C-sections, twin deliveries, D&C, D&E, and emergent C-hysterectomies
- Operate and monitor equipment including Alaris pumps and CADD epidural pumps; document care using CPN and Meditech EMR systems
- Participate in Massive Transfusion Protocol and care for patients with placenta accreta spectrum disorders as needed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, surgical techs, schedulers, and physicians across a unit with LDR, Antepartum, OBED, and OR settings
- Engage in self-scheduling practices and contribute to a team-oriented, highly engaged unit culture
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in High-Risk OB / Labor and Delivery
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
- Current AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (IFM) / Advanced EFM certification
- CPI certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Massive Transfusion Protocol in a high-risk OB setting
- Experience managing patients with placenta accreta spectrum disorders (PASD)
- Familiarity with CPN and Meditech EMR platforms
